
Service Contraindications
Your safety and the health of your skin, brows, and lashes come first. Certain medications, skincare products, skin or eye conditions, recent treatments, pregnancy, or other factors may prevent us from performing your service.
Please review the contraindications for your specific service before booking your appointment.
If you arrive with a contraindication that prevents your service from being performed, your appointment will be canceled and the applicable cancellation policy will apply.
Brow Lamination, Halal Brows & Facial Waxing Contraindications
Please do not book if any of the following apply to you or the treatment area:

You are pregnant and booking a brow lamination or Halal Brows service.

You are currently using isotretinoin, including Accutane.
-
You are currently using prescription topical retinoids, including tretinoin, adapalene, or tazarotene.
-
You are currently using retinol, retinal, retinaldehyde, or another topical vitamin A derivative.
-
You are currently using strong exfoliating acids, including glycolic, lactic, or salicylic acid in the treatment area.
-
You are using prescription or professional skincare products that exfoliate, irritate, or increase skin sensitivity in the treatment area.
-
You have open cuts, wounds, sores, abrasions, or broken skin in or around the treatment area.
-
You have an active bacterial, viral, or fungal skin infection in or around the treatment area.
-
Your skin is sunburned, windburned, severely irritated, inflamed, peeling, raw, compromised, or visibly over-exfoliated.
-
You have an active flare of eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea, or severe inflammatory acne in the treatment area.
-
Your skin has not fully healed following a chemical peel, laser treatment, microneedling, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, or another skin-resurfacing procedure.

You have recent microblading, permanent makeup, tattooing, or another procedure in the treatment area that has not fully healed.

You have a known allergy, sensitivity, or previous reaction to any product or ingredient used during the service.

You have had a positive or failed patch test for a product that will be used during your service.
Additional Brow Lamination & Halal Brows Contraindications
Brow lamination and Halal Brows will not be performed if:

Your brow hairs are severely dry, damaged, brittle, breaking, or overprocessed.
-
You have had a previous allergic reaction to brow lamination, perming, lifting, brow lightening or bleaching, tinting, staining, or a similar chemical treatment.
-
You have recently had a brow lamination or another chemical brow service and your brow hairs have not had adequate time to recover.
-
The skin beneath or immediately surrounding your brows is compromised, inflamed, infected, peeling, or actively irritated.
Please note: Halal Brows involves the use of chemical brow-lightening products and may also include brow stain or brow lamination, depending on the service booked. All contraindications that apply to the products and treatments included in your selected service must be followed.
Additional Facial Waxing Contraindications
Facial waxing will not be performed directly over:

Moles or raised skin lesions.
-
Warts.
-
Open or healing sores.
-
Active cold sores.
-
Extremely thin, fragile, or visibly compromised skin.
Lash Lift Contraindications
A lash lift will not be performed if any of the following apply:

You have an active eye infection, including conjunctivitis (pink eye).

You have an active stye.
-
You have active blepharitis or another active inflammatory condition affecting the eyelids or lash line.

You have swelling, significant redness, unexplained irritation, discharge, or inflammation in or around the eyes.
-
You have open cuts, wounds, sores, burns, abrasions, or broken skin on or around the eyelids.
-
You have an active bacterial, viral, or fungal infection in the treatment area.

You have excessively watery eyes that prevent the eye area and lashes from remaining dry enough to perform the service safely and effectively.
-
You experience very shaky, twitching, or fluttering eyelids that make it difficult to safely and precisely perform the service.

You have a known allergy or previous reaction to lash-lifting solutions, perming solutions, adhesives, tints, or another product used during the service.
-
You have had a positive or failed patch test for a product that will be used during your service.
-
Your natural lashes are severely damaged, brittle, breaking, or overprocessed.
-
You recently had a lash lift or another chemical lash service and your natural lashes have not adequately recovered.
-
You have had recent eye surgery or another surgical procedure involving the eye or eyelid and have not fully healed or been medically cleared for cosmetic treatments around the eye.

You have had recent permanent makeup, tattooing, or another procedure around the eyes that has not fully healed.
-
You have a condition that prevents you from comfortably and safely keeping your eyes fully closed throughout the entire service.

Please disclose all medications, prescription skincare, retinoids, retinol, retinal, active skincare ingredients, recent facial or eye treatments, allergies, skin or eye conditions, previous reactions, pregnancy, and recent chemical brow or lash services before your appointment.
